Background

Our goal was to generate new ideas to obtain new information and from sharing the experience of partner organizations with similar interests and needs of the project's target groups. We wanted to ensure long-term benefits for the participants included in the Project and sustainable benefits for the target groups of the Project. It was the expected involvement and the benefits of the new knowledge gained for the specialists, as well as the expected effect of the successful activities influencing the full lives of the users of social services, that were the main motive for the implementation of the project. With the Handbook we developed,we created an opportunity for a large group of people working in the field of social services for people with disabilities to be familiar with the practice and experience gained in providing social services in the respective partner countries,in order to be more effective in their work.We believe that the trainings provided in the Project for professionals from the participating organizations will enrich and build on their professional experience, will take them away from the usual work environment which helps refresh their professionalism and make them even more flexible and empathetic in their work.
