Objectives

EntreAdu aimed to equip adult educators with the necessary tools and competencies to teach social entrepreneurship effectively to learners with migrant backgrounds. The project set out to develop an innovative and gamified educational framework grounded in the EntreComp model, addressing both the skill gaps of educators and the specific challenges faced by migrant adults. Key objectives included: designing a clear and structured educational framework; creating a self-assessment and recommendation tool to help educators monitor and improve their entrepreneurship teaching skills; developing an engaging open online course to enhance educator competencies; and building a collaborative network of educators and organisations. By fostering inclusion, motivation, and empowerment through gamification, EntreAdu sought to promote entrepreneurial thinking, social cohesion, and sustainable job creation for migrant communities.

Background

The EntreAdu project was launched to address the urgent need for tools that help adult educators working with migrants foster social entrepreneurship skills. Migrants face numerous integration barriers, while educators often lack resources to teach entrepreneurship in a way that is both accessible and engaging. Social entrepreneurship can be a powerful tool for integration and empowerment, but traditional methods fall short in motivating diverse learners. The project responds to this gap by using gamification - applying game elements in non-game environments - to increase motivation, participation, and learning outcomes. EntreAdu empowers educators with a framework aligned with the EntreComp model, along with a gamified self-assessment tool and open online course, helping them build key competencies. It supports educators’ professional development, encourages inclusive teaching methods, and promotes the economic and social integration of migrants through entrepreneurship.
