From a lot of academic papers, research statistical analysis, reports from NGOs, and facts on the ground in EU it is quite obvious and heavily documented that after the end of covid virus gender inequality not only has not decreased but in fact had increased and therefore there was a dire need for these types of project. Naturally we want to raise awareness to the public that gender issues have not been resolved, that they still need to have a lot of work done on them, and that with more work or raising awareness and combating gender inequality that we will achieve those positive awareness but we should not take them lightly, we should not rest, because those issues are very real and merit a lot of attention. Rate of employment for women in EU is 11% lower than men and receive 14% lower wages. Moreover the European index states that in regards to women EU scores on the scale only 68 points out of 100. Furthermore young people usually do not grasp the facts that it is affecting their lives. Gender equality is part of EU strategy and goals and therefore it must be achieved because it brings about all sorts of positive benefits to genders. Whats surprising is the fact that many young people are still unaware how critical those issues are. Thus of course we fight to keep high awareness. In order to be specific in regards to objectives for this project it goes as follows - First and foremost on the list was to support gender equality – women's rights in the EU fostering equality between men and women in all fields and workplaces of EU societies - Enhance positive values of gender quality in EU societies - To bring forward discussion + awareness about gender quality among the youngsters - To educate participants on the current state of gender inequality in their nation in EU - To promote the use of a more gender neutral and inclusive language among the youth in local, regional, national, EU level. - To focus on EU Agenda, promote EU 2020 to 2025 Gender Equality strategy among EU youth - To broaden understanding-awareness in various scopes regarding gender issues-problems that arise because of inequality and that this needs to stop because it creates so many problems. Impact Rationality, a greater number of people will occupy themselves with gender issues and this I believe we achieved. We as Dione learned a lot about other nations gender issues, inequality that dominates in EU areas especially in rural areas, we also learned that in contrast to the very small size of Cyprus in other much bigger in geographical size such as Spain or Romania for example EU practices, goals are harder to achieve close to isolated rural areas. Best ways are through the regional, local, mayors and small city councils. On the plus side, once the council is activated, results follow respective NGO’s conducted regional small rural city councils, shared in respective local language results of our projects, shared results with local school authorities. We know for a fact that change is not so fast to come by but step by step with persistence change comes about and in this way the results that EU strategy requires will come to be a reality. Therefore, in a way a project takes place, then the education of participants and they with or individually will spread the information and soon rather than later impact comes about.
