Objectives

The training course “Soft Skills Solid Start” was a project about soft skills implemented by the 5 partners: Agecare - Cyprus, Young Wave - Poland, ASK Yourself - Romania, 21 days - Youth for a Mindful Life Association - Hungary and Aktive Kosmos - Spain. This project started from our shared mission to spread awareness and concrete knowledge about soft skills among young people, educating them about their importance and helping them obtain a set of soft skills, useful throughout anyone’s life. The objectives we achieved through this training were: 1.In 10 months of the project, 25 participants better understood the concept of soft skills, and benefits of: leadership, teamwork, organisational skills, communication, problem- solving and conflict management in relation to young people's personal and career development. 2.During 10 months of the project, 25 youth workers boosted their implementation skills of non-formal education methods supporting development of soft skills of disadvantaged youth by having expanded their toolbox and having gotten to know 10 new NFE methods. 3.By the end of the project, 25 participants developed a more proactive approach to inspire young people to invest their time in developing their soft skills. They felt more empowered as facilitators, which resulted in 25% more NFE workshops connected to soft-skills development in every partner organisation. 4. Within 10 months, the capacity of 5 partner organisations grew, thanks to exchange of good practices through toolboxes on soft skills development and training opportunities for 5 youth workers per country.
