Individuals with physical disabilities remain largely invisible in society, and the policies that aimed to prevent discrimination and promote inclusion were inadequate (Council of Europe, 2022). Additionally, the lack of information and resources hindered society’s familiarisation with, and inclusion of, people with disabilities. Hence, there was a pressing need to educate the youth in Cyprus about disabilities and contribute to the EU Youth Strategy by promoting inclusive societies and addressing the following objectives: • To raise awareness among young individuals aged 13–30 living in rural areas about physical disabilities through non-formal education methods • To strengthen the outreach of information and capacities of young individuals aged 13–30 on how to be more inclusive and contribute to the EU Youth Strategy • To actively engage young individuals and young individuals with disabilities with policymakers to voice their ideas and proposals for the inclusion of disabled people
