Participation Beyond Voting II was a project aiming to prolong Participation Beyond Voting, a KA154 project successfully implemented in 2022-2023. The idea of the project was to enhance participation of young people in the democratic life and raise awareness on the forms of participation except of voting on elections. We wanted to share ways of participation with young people, in an aim to make them be active citizens and offer to the society they belong, by utilizing their knowledge and skills which are unique for each one. To start planning our idea, we discussed with other young people to find out what they think participation is and how they would like to participate in order to feel part of the society. We decided that we could make some impact to young peoples lives by introducing them to forms of participation through non-formal workshops. As a result, we designed the project with the following objectives: - To implement at least 12 youth activities related to youth participation. Participant of each activity will be at least 25 young people - To skill up at least 100 young people on how they can participate in democratic life and be active citizens through nonformal education methods and through experience-based learning - To get young people in direct communication with at least 7 experts/ decision makers during our activities - To publish at least 15 articles related to our project and youth participation - To influence at least 300 young people of Cyprus who will not participate in our activities (due to own choice or limited availability) about youth participation through our dissemination and follow-up activities.
