The aim was to gain inspiration and know-how in innovative educational methods and technologies, also via international cooperation, so that the library would become a centre of modern education amidst growing competition. MSVK is also developing its educational programmes linked to the planned move to a new building (The Black Cube). Educational programmes will play a priority role in the library's activities, and the team and related processes must be prepared to the greatest extent possible.
MSVK is a regional public library intensively engaged in educating librarians, teachers, pupils, students, professionals, and the general public. It targets kindergartens, secondary schools, universities, as well as individuals of productive, pre-retirement, and retirement age. The educational focus is on information, media, digital, and cyber literacy, academic writing, STEM skills, makerspace, and, recently, environmental and financial literacy, self-presentation, and entrepreneurship.
