As part of the project, we planned to teach students new procedures specific to working abroad within their area of expertise. We also wanted to provide them with the opportunity to compare and improve their professionalism and customer service. One of the major challenges was offering foreign work experience to students in service fields such as hairdressing, cosmetic services and make-up artistry, where communication skills and the ability to adapt to a foreign environment are crucial.
We are a secondary school offering gastronomic and service-related subjects, and a key part of studying at our school is enabling students in all subjects to gain international experience. Thanks to the EU and DZS grant, we were able to increase the quality of teaching in fields where it would otherwise be impossible to secure foreign internships. This mainly applies to service fields, i.e. students in the Hairdressing and Cosmetic Services and Make-up Artist fields.
