Objectives

By implementing STT mobilities in the form of job shadowing, our aim was for teaching staff to gain an overview of new teaching methods and practices used in schools abroad with a similar subject focus. We wanted them to bring new teaching approaches into practice at their home institution and to become familiar with working with digital tools used in the teaching of their subjects. Through job shadowing, we also sought to enhance their professional and language skills and to enable them to establish contacts with colleagues teaching the same subjects, which may lead to further forms of cooperation in the future (e.g. sharing teaching methods and approaches, professional practices, laboratory exercises, etc.). The job shadowing of non-teaching staff was intended to help them gain insight into the procedures and methods used by staff in equivalent positions abroad. The goal was also to learn to work with new digital tools and programmes used in the foreign school, which we would like to implement at our own institution. Their job shadowing focused mainly on practical procedures related to organising placements for foreign students and the associated administrative tasks.
