The main objective of the project was to further develop the internationalization strategy of VŠTE and to create an environment that actively supports the involvement of both students and staff in international activities. The implementation of the project was focused on improving the quality of the educational process, strengthening the competitiveness of the institution, and preparing students for their professional careers in a global context. International experience and cooperation represent a key tool for VŠTE to provide students and staff with skills essential for the European and global labor market – above all critical and analytical thinking, digital competences, adaptability, and the ability to navigate in a multicultural environment. The project also aimed to develop institutional infrastructure and processes connected with international activities. The goal was to achieve more efficient administration, digitalization of agendas, and simplification of procedures so that mobility becomes easily accessible to the widest possible group of students and staff. At the same time, attention was paid to sustainability – promotion of green travel and blended mobility formats contributes to fulfilling European environmental priorities and opens new opportunities for those who would otherwise not be able to participate in physical mobility. An important part of the project was strengthening the network of partner universities and institutions in Europe and beyond. The project was directed at deepening existing ties and establishing new ones, with an emphasis on sustainability and long-term cooperation. These partnerships enable students and staff to participate in projects with international reach, share experience, and gain inspiration for their own professional growth. Strategic cooperation also reinforces the position of VŠTE as a modern and open institution that actively contributes to shaping the European educational space. A significant role was also played by internationalization at home, i.e., creating opportunities for students who cannot or do not wish to participate in physical mobility. Through short-term intensive programs (BIP), visiting academics, or joint project activities, students can gain international experience directly in their home environment. This approach contributes to the inclusiveness of the program and ensures that internationalization has a real impact on all students of the university. During this period, activities were implemented to improve the conditions for incoming students, who represent an important part of the academic community. The aim was not only to provide sufficient accommodation capacities and administrative support but also to create an environment that fosters integration and intercultural dialogue. Cultural and social activities, language support, and involvement in student initiatives help foreign students feel part of the university and evaluate their stay positively. Staff mobility was regarded as a key element in enhancing the quality of education and institutional performance. Participation of academic staff in international mobility enables the transfer of new teaching methods and innovative approaches into the classroom, which has a direct impact on the quality of study programs. For administrative staff, mobility offers the opportunity to adopt best practices in managing international programs and to strengthen the skills necessary for providing quality support to students and partners. Special attention was given to the development of students’ transversal competences. A stay abroad or participation in international activities contributes to personal growth, develops language skills, teamwork abilities, and resilience in new and unknown situations. These experiences have a long-term impact on graduates’ careers and represent a competitive advantage when entering the labor market. Overall, the project contributed to strengthening the international reputation of VŠTE and consolidating its position among institutions actively involved in developing the European and global higher education area. Active participation in the Erasmus+ program enables the university to respond to new challenges and trends while providing students and staff with opportunities that are of fundamental importance for their academic and professional development. The implementation of the project thus fulfills the strategic priorities of the university and creates a sustainable framework for the further development of internationalization.
