The basic framework for achieving the goals in the field of international cooperation is defined by the long-term strategic plan of Masaryk University, the Internationalisation Strategy 2021+. In line with this document, the project objectives were formulated to strengthen internationalisation as an integral part of the study offer, curricula, teaching content and methods, as well as the services provided at all faculties of the university. The project aimed to increase the number of outgoing and incoming students across all study programmes, to expand mobility opportunities for academic and non-academic staff, and to improve activities related to the administration of mobilities, including support for participants with special needs. An important objective was also to enhance inter-institutional cooperation and to develop strong partnerships with foreign universities, to broaden the offer of courses in foreign languages and thereby make the university more attractive to international students and academics, while at the same time strengthening ties with international excellence in research and development. Masaryk University also placed a strong emphasis on digitalisation and sought to fulfil its role as an academic leader in the digitalisation of processes at public higher education institutions, in the development of its own information systems, and in increasing the efficiency and flexibility of university operations through digital tools. Thanks to its own systems, IS and ISOIS, the university belongs among institutions with the best-functioning online tools for the management and administration of mobilities. By participating in the Erasmus+ programme, Masaryk University aimed to put these strategic goals into practice and enable the implementation of the largest possible number of high-quality student and staff mobilities, to expand the offer of short-term blended intensive programmes (BIP), to strengthen financial and organisational support for participants with fewer opportunities, and to further deepen the digitalisation of processes in order to make administration as transparent and efficient as possible for students and staff. Significant attention was also devoted to building and improving partnerships with foreign universities, which are key to the development of high-quality teaching and research at Masaryk University.
