Objectives

By implementing the project, we aimed to persuade young people to become active citizens and help them convey the importance of positive change in the area of democratic values, and respect for human rights to the community through the arts. The overarching goals included raising awareness of equal rights and social respect, emphasizing environmental human rights, and promoting the preservation of cultural traditions for democratic development through art. By bringing together individuals from six different countries, our goal was to dismantle cultural barriers through communication and mutual understanding. By utilizing art and exploring diverse personal and cultural perspectives, we sought to equip participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to navigate the challenges of modern society. In connection with the theme of democracy, our overarching goal was to empower young people to recognize and address issues related to democratic engagement and civic participation, thereby promoting a more inclusive and resilient democratic society. We engaged young people in the democratic process by fostering an interest in government-citizen relationships, democratic elections, and avenues for social change. The project focused on educating youth about their rights, especially in the realm of personal data protection. Our project prioritized inclusivity by actively involving participants facing various barriers and obstacles, including those with social, economic, financial, educational, and displacement-related challenges from regions like Ukraine. We sought to encourage participants to break away from conventional norms, stereotypes, and ideological constraints, fostering a sense of independence, authenticity, and freedom of expression. Additionally, we wanted to establish a platform where participants could exhibit their talents and exchange cultural traditions unique to their countries. Through collaborative endeavors, participants were encouraged to utilize their expertise and cultural insights to craft a performance with a dual purpose: advocating for active involvement in societal progress and the advancement of democratic principles. The overarching goal of this performance was to emphasize the significance of proactive engagement and art as a driver of positive societal change. The main objectives were to raise awareness of equal rights and environmental human rights, foster appreciation for diverse opinions, promote cultural preservation as a tool for democratic values, enhance their understanding of personal and digital rights and inspire them to express themselves creatively through intercultural exchanges and performances while using art . Through creative workshops and cultural exchanges, our aim was to emphasize the transformative power of art in inspiring social change and intercultural understanding. Additionally, we aimed to encourage social engagement among young people, educating them on governance mechanisms and advocating for social justice. Addressing personal rights, our goal was to empower marginalized groups and promote inclusivity. Through collaborative efforts, our objective was to inspire participants to freely express themselves, share their experiences, and advocate for positive societal change, fostering a more inclusive and democratic European community. Through this project, we set out to inspire young people to embrace democratic values and human rights by engaging them in various artistic activities like performances, dances, and drawing. Our goal was to help them gain a deeper understanding of democracy, while also building their skills in problem-solving, communication, and teamwork. By showcasing how art can drive social change and preserve cultural traditions, we aimed to show participants the power of creativity in making a difference. We also introduced them to digital skills, teaching them how to create and edit media content. Bringing together individuals from six different countries, the project fostered intercultural connections and broke down cultural barriers, promoting mutual understanding. Inclusivity was at the heart of our efforts, with a focus on involving young people from diverse and marginalized backgrounds. Ultimately, we wanted to empower participants to become active citizens, using their newfound knowledge and artistic talents to advocate for positive societal change and contribute to a more inclusive and democratic community.
