Objectives

The main goal of this project is to open up creativity in the participants, help them connect to their inner selves, and find what their talents are. Then they will take these new skills and apply them on creating a vision for their future, which will help them set goals to work towards and navigate which path to take in terms of studies or work. And finally, these new skills and goals will help them lower the anxiety they might feel about the uncertain future. Youth is generally that time in our lives when we feel pressured to decide what we will become. We should choose the schools, internships, or job positions that will lead us where we want to go. And there are plenty of practical advice and tools which should support young people on this way (like career advisors, online websites, advisors in schools, etc.). But few of them work with the subconscious self, connecting to body and emotions, the techniques which help us to reconnect with who we are and what we truly want. We have been working in the Youth field for over 10 years and in the past 4 of them we started implementing techniques like this in our Erasmus+ projects, but also in our local workshops at schools and hobby classes for young people. We have noticed a significant increase in the impact of the activities on young people and how much of a long-term effect they have on them. The deeper we go under the surface and the more we work with creative methods rather than rational ones, the more the young people take from the activities and rate them as helpful. That is our "why". There are not many opportunities like this out there and so we take it as our responsibility to create them. There is also high unemployment among young people in two of our partner countries, Spain and Italy, which is an additional reason why we focus on employment topics and supporting mental health wellness in the participants. Depression and anxiety are ever-increasing issues for many young people in Europe today, therefore we choose techniques that not only help the participants navigate their carrier path but provide them with specific techniques they can use to calm themselves down, as well as inspire them to create changes which will lead to a more satisfying life. The specific objectives of the project are: 1) Supporting the participants to discover their talents and find a direction for their future through creative methods; 2) providing the participants with opportunities to develop key competencies applicable in the labor market; 3) and providing the Youth workers with new skills and experiences which will allow them to increase the quality of their Youth Work.
