Objectives

We want to activate students in creative activities in the field of international cooperation, increase their key professional and personal competencies, encourage them to continue their education or gain experience working abroad. Similarly, for teachers, who will gain new experience and encouragement for their further creative work and education. Everyone will have the opportunity to try new techniques, procedures, learn from each other, enrich themselves with new approaches to education. We want to create practical materials (instructional photo books of cuts and recipes for Czech and Slovak cold dishes, freely available online), which will also serve other students not only in our schools or the wider public, and thus contribute to innovations in vocational education and training. We want to enable students with limited opportunities to participate in international mobility. We want to increase the attractiveness of education at our vocational schools by implementing the project. New promotional videos for the 4 fields of our schools will be created, project activities will be promoted in local media. And also contribute to breaking down prejudices through mutual understanding of individual nations and their cultures.

Background

We perceived the need to activate students with limited opportunities, to engage in independent and team creative activities that would provide them with more practical experience, increase self-confidence, bring a sense of responsibility and motivate them to further education and professional challenges. Due to the restrictions on education during the Covid period, the attitude of passivity has intensified among many students and the differences between students have deepened, depending on their socio-cultural circumstances. We wanted to encourage students and teachers to be active and creative in an attractive way, which international cooperation definitely is. Thanks to the similarity of the language, these opportunities have opened up to a wider group of students and at the same time we wanted to remind young people of the common history of our countries and, through joint learning, break down many prejudices. Without obtaining financial support for the implementation of the project, students with limited opportunities would not have had the chance to afford such activities. We also wanted to make the practical fields of our schools and the Erasmus+ program and its benefits more visible.
