The main objective of the project was to enhance the quality of vocational nursing education through innovative digital tools, international cooperation and support for inclusion. The partners aimed to create a European learning environment connecting schools, teachers and students of nursing. The project sought to develop digital and language competences of both teachers and learners, strengthen their readiness to work in multicultural settings and promote environmentally responsible approaches in teaching. A specific goal was to design and pilot three key results: the European Nursing Education (ENE) digital platform, an online handbook for educators and a multilingual course of basic nursing conversation. The project also aimed to establish sustainable partnerships among nursing schools and to promote the exchange of good educational practices across Europe, thereby contributing to the European dimension of vocational education.
The project was submitted in response to the need to modernize nursing education and address current challenges related to migration, the pandemic, and the growing demand for digital competences among teachers and students. Partner schools from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Greece and Türkiye identified a lack of innovative educational materials that combine linguistic, professional and intercultural learning in nursing. In all countries, there was no unified methodology to prepare students for work in multicultural environments or to use digital technologies for developing professional and communication skills. The project also addressed the need to include learners with different linguistic and cultural backgrounds, especially those from Ukraine, and to strengthen their language proficiency and professional confidence. Its goal was to create a shared European learning environment that connects nursing schools and enables teachers to jointly improve the quality of vocational education in line with Erasmus+ priorities.
