Objectives

Ludwigsburg University of Education (LUE) is committed to preparing students for an increasingly multicultural and interconnected world. Through its internationalisation strategy, LUE aims to empower students to become interculturally competent change agents, equipping them with the skills to navigate and shape a more inclusive society. This goal is particularly crucial for our graduates, over two-thirds of whom are future educators. Teachers will play an essential role as multipliers, imparting these intercultural competencies to diverse student populations and fostering inclusive learning environments. The Erasmus+ programme stands as the cornerstone of our internationalisation efforts. It is LUE's most critical mobility initiative, serving as a fundamental tool to achieve our internationalisation objectives. By offering students and staff the opportunity to engage with new cultures, languages, and educational practices, Erasmus+ supports the development of European perspectives and the capacity for intercultural dialogue, which is essential in today’s education landscape. The Erasmus Policy Statement (EPS) reflects our institutional commitment to ensuring that all university members can access international experiences, broadening their personal and academic horizons. This vision not only enhances individual growth but also contributes to the promotion of shared European values such as diversity, solidarity, and equality. LUE has achieved significant progress in student mobility, particularly in teacher training programmes. For instance, we have expanded access to mobility opportunities by introducing short-term mobility options, making it easier for students with different circumstances to participate. Additionally, we have strengthened our partner school network, further enriching our students' mobility experience and providing more opportunities for hands-on, international teaching practice. These efforts directly support our overarching strategic goal of increasing participation in international programmes and ensuring that more students can benefit from these transformative experiences. Overall, the implementation of the Erasmus+ programme is fully aligned with LUE’s strategic plan, which prioritises international collaboration, the pluralisation of educational concepts, and the internationalisation of research. Through these efforts, we aim to foster a culture of innovation and inclusivity within our academic community, ensuring that our graduates are not only professionally prepared but also socially responsible and active contributors to a more unified and resilient Europe.
