Objectives

At Aschaffenburg University of Applied Sciences (AUAS), Erasmus+ plays a central role in strengthening our international engagement. Guided by the principles of the European Policy Statement and the European Charter for Higher Education, AUAS actively leverages the Key Action 131 (KA131) framework to enhance academic exchange, mobility, and cooperation. Our Erasmus+ activities are strategically embedded in our institutional development. We promote student mobility for studies, internships, and double degree opportunities in collaboration with long-term partner institutions. AUAS supports both semester-based and short-term mobilities, including Blended Intensive Programmes (BIPs) and blended short-term student mobilities, thus expanding accessibility and flexibility for all participants. We are committed to enhancing foreign language proficiency and intercultural competence across our student and staff communities. AUAS fosters teaching and training mobilities for academic and administrative staff, encouraging the exchange of best practices and mutual learning among partner institutions. Our institution aims to become a more attractive destination for international guests in teaching, research, and knowledge transfer. Erasmus+ supports this goal by enabling structured collaboration with European partners and offering a robust platform for networking and innovation. The implementation of Erasmus+ is coordinated by the International Office and forms an integral part of our internationalization strategy. We ensure full compliance with the KA131 framework and the commitments defined in the European Charter for Higher Education. Through our Erasmus+ engagement, AUAS contributes to a stronger European Education Area and fosters a connected, inclusive, and forward-looking academic community.
