Objectives

The strategy of the university strongly emphasizes the importance of enhancing the mobility of students, scholars, and staff members. TU Ilmenau employs a variety of tools to boost the international exchanges of its community. The Erasmus programme, known for its appealing processes and supportive financial conditions, plays a vital in uplifting these outbound figures. In addition, Erasmus is key in furthering the global outreach of the university and its personnel. An increasing number of services and courses are being offered in English to make TU Ilmenau more attractive as a research destination. Moreover, Erasmus facilitates the creation of networks and collaborative ventures with counterpart institutions across Europe. Such interactions lead to collaborative research efforts, doctoral studies, and the initiation of more dual degree programs. We are also excited that, looking ahead, the Erasmus programme is expected to continue its substantial support for our international initiatives. The recent endorsement of our European University bid holds the promise of broadening our cooperative endeavors, confident in the potential to motivate a greater number of students to seize these excellent opportunities. On the whole, we're extremely pleased with the achievement of these objectives.
