Chemnitz University of Technology had set itself a number of specific and general goals for the implementation of the project. Eligible applicants were to be given the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ program and thus complete an international mobility. In this way, physical long-term and blended short-term mobilities for study visits to the Erasmus+ partner universities of Chemnitz University of Technology as well as staff mobilities for teaching and training were to be realized and financially supported from the project budget. This objective was linked to the aim of motivating as many potential participants as possible to take part in such a mobility. At the same time, the implementation of the project was to contribute to achieving the objectives set out in the project-relevant program guide, to implement the priorities of the program with the best possible success and scope and to take into account the specified content aspects. The general basis for this was both the overarching goal of supporting people's educational, professional and personal development through lifelong learning and the specific goal of promoting learning mobility and thus successful cooperation between organizations in the field of education. At the same time, this should once again make a successful contribution to the further expansion of the European Education Area. With regard to the participants, the main focus was on exposure to different knowledge, teaching and research methods as well as working practices in the respective field of study in a European context, the development of interdisciplinary skills in areas such as problem-solving, communication and language skills as well as digital and environmental/green skills. At the same time, implementation was also to improve the employability of the participants. At staff level, there were also objectives such as the opportunity to pass on specialist knowledge, to get to know a new teaching environment and to expand professionally relevant skills and networks. In addition, the aim of the project implementation was to support the central priorities of the program in the best possible way with the successful implementation of the mobilities and thus to promote not only inclusion and diversity, but also digital change, environmentally conscious and sustainable thinking and democratic awareness and European values. Furthermore, the aim was to ensure the implementation of all project activities with the highest possible quality and in accordance with the specifications, obligations and program guidelines. As part of its internationalization strategy principles, Chemnitz University of Technology also aimed to use the implementation of the project to further advance the continued expansion of internationalization at the university and its partner universities in terms of numbers and quality, in conjunction with strengthening the international profile of all participating institutions.
