Objectives

The Erasmus+ programme is one of the key projects at University of Cologne (UoC) to implement, promote and fund the exchange of students and staff. Its internationalization strategy defines the internazionalisation of research, studies and teaching. The Erasmus+ mobilities fundamentally contribute to UoC's internationalization goals, which are designed to turn students, lecturers and staff into open-minded world citizens. The UoC is integrated into international reserach contexts and - as one of Europe's largest and oldest universities, situated in the heart of the continent, has been cultivating international academic exchange for decades. Thanks to its excellent international reputation, UoC has a well-established global network with nearly 400 Erasmus+ partner institutions and over 700 Erasmus+ subject agreements. The aim is to establish this network with partner institutions in all Erasmus+participating countries while respecting the quality standards defined in the ECHE as well as the principles outlined by the HEI. The Erasmus+ network has proven itself fundamentally and has been expanded in terms of numbers on all mobility levels (Bachelor, Master, PhD) and flows (SMS, SMP, STA and STT - incoming and outgoing).
