The Erasmus+ Project 2023-2025 of the University of Potsdam had the overarching goal of providing an inclusive access to the programme for all members of the university, thereby enabling as many students, staff, and lecturers as possible to gain a relevant international experience. With more than 300 partner institutions within the programme countries, the University of Potsdam offers a broad portfolio of exchange opportunities across faculties. The project aimed to enable students to acquire both academic and intercultural competences and to improve their language skills. The international experiences of students were intended to contribute to the strengthening of European values and a European identity, as well as to the consolidation of international cohesion among young people. At the same time, the competences acquired abroad were intended to enhance the employability of students. In the field of teaching, the exchange of teaching and learning methods, as well as the internationalization of curricula, are of paramount importance, with virtual and blended formats playing an increasingly important role. Moreover, mobile lecturers (Incoming and Outgoing) serve as multipliers for the relevance of study-related international experiences. To strengthen internationalization at the University of Potsdam and create an attractive environment for international researchers and students, the university relies on the internationalization of administrative staff and the digitalization of administrative processes. In this context, STT-mobilities play a crucial role, as they promote the exchange of knowledge with colleagues across Europe. The exchange enables the learning of innovative approaches and the improvement of English language skills. These goals are also anchored in the internationalization strategy of the University of Potsdam, so that the Erasmus+ Programme is an important building block in the implementation of these goals.
