The Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd (HfG) actively promotes international mobility for both students and staff through a dynamic exchange program. With 33 partner institutions across Europe and 16 more worldwide, the International Office and all academic departments are committed to enriching the educational experience through meaningful global engagement. As part of the legacy of the historic Bauhaus design movement, Hochschule für Gestaltung Schwäbisch Gmünd offers a wide range of English-taught courses each semester, welcoming more than 20 international students to campus. At the same time, our students benefit from exchange opportunities with our esteemed partner universities, allowing them to broaden their design expertise and develop valuable intercultural skills. A semester abroad offers both exciting opportunities and unique challenges, helping students grow personally and professionally while gaining a global perspective on design.
