Objectives

Since its launch in 1987, the Erasmus programme has been by far the largest mobility programme at RWTH Aachen University in terms of numbers. It has played an important role in shaping our international profile and strategy. The main goal of the Erasmus programme is to help our students, researchers, teachers, and administrative staff grow both professionally and personally. It also improves their job opportunities and helps them connect with people in international networks. Additionally, the Erasmus programme allows participants to feel like part of European citizenship. To make it easier for everyone to join, the Erasmus programme offers attractive mobility grants that consider the social and economic backgrounds of participants. By being part of Erasmus, RWTH increases its presence abroad and becomes more recognizable as a brand. We are committed to creating an intercultural and academically stimulating environment for all members of RWTH. Incoming Erasmus students are seen as a valuable addition to our community and are welcomed warmly. This not only enriches our campus but also gives RWTH students a chance to gain international experience at home.
