The a.i.m. rlp, based at the University of Applied Sciences Trier, is responsible for 2 universities and 11 universities of applied sciences in Rhineland-Palatinate and the Saarland. It applied for and carried out the project with the aim of implementing the idea of a united Europe by fostering the exchange between the economic and educational sector of the Erasmus+ programme as well as supporting partner countries logistically and financially. This is achieved by means of the financial support for long-term, qualifying and subject-related internships (SMP), mobilities for studies (SMS), and staff mobilities (STA/STT). Apart from adding intercultural, linguistic and socio-cultural value for all participant groups, the project should enable participants to put into practice their theoretical knowledge gained at university, get to know a new work culture and offer an additional, transnational training opportunity on the international labour market in order to improve employability both at home and abroad (SMS and SMP). STA/STT mobilities were included in the application to support the partner HEIs in their internationalisation strategies and to contribute to professional, interdisciplinary, and international exchange in teaching.
