Objectives

For the University of Augsburg, the Erasmus+ programme is one of the supporting pillars for all internationalisation efforts, supplemented by the promotion of international mobility through worldwide exchange contracts and Promos scholarships as well as the mobility offers of the faculties. We see mobility to and from partners as a key element of scientific exchange, the intercultural education of our students and the further training of our employees in accordance with our internationalisation strategy and the recommendation of the Steering Committee of Internationalisation. We recognize the experience of the European community as a community of values and education as a valuable asset and would like to promote it through the Erasmus+ programme. The University of Augsburg strives for internationalisation abroad and "at home". The ways to do ao are open to all students, scientists and employees and information about this is available to all groups via the website of the University of Augsburg, with detailled programme information to be found on the website of the International Office: https://www.uniaugsburg.de/de/organisation/einrichtungen/aaa/. By participating in the EU's Erasmus programme, the university is also striving for increased international visibility and an increase in its international reputation. Cooperation with European HEIs in the Erasmus programme is seen as an opportunity to enter into closer strategic partnerships. The university is currently in the process of identifying further strategic partners from this group and launching initiatives.
