In the 2023 project, TH Köln's priority was once again to further consolidate student and staff mobility as a cornerstone of internationalization. Particular emphasis was placed on continuity in order to make mobility accessible again as a plausible option for a broader target group after the turbulent years of the pandemic. On the one hand, this meant continued focus on the successful mobility formats while onth eother hand integrating newer formats and further consolidating the implementation of the new funding logic. In particular, the additional support for target groups with “fewer opportunities” in the form of supplementary funding made it possible to address and mobilize more participants. TH Köln continued to advocate for more sustainable internationalization and promoted opportunities for financial support for more sustainable travel options within the program and other approaches to make stays abroad as sustainable as possible. In addition, the digitization of mobility processes was advanced, in particular through the launch of an EWP project aimed at optimizing both internal processes and integration into the EWP network in order to improve processing times, workload, and participant satisfaction.
