Objectives

With the projects of Key Action 1 in Erasmus+, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (HUB) aims to promote the interests and educational biographies of university members and at the same time further the overarching internationalization of the institution. With the project, HUB supports the inclusion of all status groups. Individual experience in an international context is an important element that gives participants access to new teaching and learning environments and content, as well as to international networks, and expands linguistic, technical and socio-cultural skills on many levels. For this reason, HUB ensures reliable structures and instruments at central and faculty level. The faculties are the central drivers of academic internationalization, and central to the successful implementation of student mobility, especially mobility for studies (SMS). The responsibility for academic support and foremost the recognition process lies with the departmental coordinators and the exam boards of the faculties. They work closely with the Central International Office for administrative matters and the compliance with the ECHE criteria and guidelines of the Erasmus+ program. One goal that was pursued in this project was the better integration of the KA131 measures with the goals and activities of the European University Alliance Circle U., in particular the development and design of different, more flexible and accessible mobility formats, to foster international immersion of students and other status groups, eg with the better integration of blended short-term mobility, as well as other forms of virtual exchange. A priority in the project was widening participation in the program, eg by implementing the various support measures for students with fewer opportunities. HUB furthered this priority by participating in two KA220 Cooperation Partnerships (Erasmus+ GAP; DiEM) which address inclusive mobility from different angles.
