Objectives

As a university for small and medium-sized businesses in the region, we act as a multiplier of mobility. Flexibility and transculturality on the one hand for local regional companies whose international potential has not yet been fully exploited, and on the other hand for students, to whom we want to offer the best possible education with international perspectives and insights. Through contacts in primarily European partner countries, but also in program countries, we want to promote the personal development of students, graduates, and employees, thereby gaining added value for local partner companies and also for our academic operations in our capacity as a multiplier. In the interest of the FHM, the focus is on education-related internship and trainee opportunities. With the funding opportunities offered by Erasmus+, we are also able to reach out to disadvantaged target groups, which we address quite openly. We initiate transcultural thought processes and have established lasting contacts over many years, which also branch out into our business contacts. This is particularly true of alumni experiences. The experiences reported by our participants show that job offers abroad can be interesting, but that transfers to German companies can also be interesting. This dialogue of mutual benefits is a fundamental objective of our work and creates a close network with our partner universities. We hope that this will increase the willingness of students and academics to participate in mobility programs.
