The Saarland University (USAAR) has a deep inrooted and long-standing international orientation in research and teaching, in the promotion of crossborder exchange and in welcoming large numbers of foreign guest scholars and students. The realization of the international strategy of our university such as defined in our European Policy Statement, is strongly supported and strengthened by the implementation of the Erasmus+ Programme. Erasmus+ plays a key role and is a supporting element for the modernisation and internationalisation strategy of USAAR. Based on the principles of transparency, inclusion and nondiscrimination, USAAR intends to raise its profile as an international and european university and to further advance its strategy of excellence in the Erasmus Key Actions 1, 2 and 3. The Erasmus+ Programme is a most decisive instrument to achieve our goal. The program stimulates and provides funding opportunities to support its internationalization strategy, the goals of which include expanding international degree programs, networking through strategic university collaborations, strengthening cross-border cooperation, and further developing her European University Alliance ‘Transform4Europe` to accompany transformation processes.
