The University of Mannheim has set its sights on forming and educating executives for the business world, for society and academics. International cooperation in all spheres of society is crucial, particularly in the context of ever-growing challenges on the international labor and science markets. The University of Mannheim is aware of this and strives to convey an international perspective to all its members —be it as part of their studies, in teaching, research or administration. This is also reflected in the university’s internationalization efforts, which is centered around the two goals Internationalization Abroad and Internationalization@Home. The ERASMUS project 2023 at the University of Mannheim was once again successful and is a cornerstone of the university’s internationalization strategy. The University of Mannheim offers around 1,100 students the chance to study abroad each year. In return, the university welcomes around 1,000 international exchange students annually. This also involves a significant amount of staff exchange. The Erasmus program is responsible for financing and facilitating the majority of these stays.
