Erasmus+ is a central element of internationalisation that is used by all faculties and institutions. Bielefeld University has participated in the Erasmus+ programme from the very beginning. Management structures were created that have an impact far into the university. All members of the university benefit from mobility programmes. The overarching aim is to gain international professional experience, intercultural skills and to improve foreign language skills. Key competences, digital skills and common European values are taught. In addition to individual mobility, participation in projects aimed at strengthening European strategic cooperation is of great importance.
