With the implementation of the project, we pursued the overarching goal of further strengthening the University of Tübingen international orientation and opening new horizons for students, faculty, and staff alike. The aim was to sustainably expand European and global networks, promote innovative teaching and learning formats, and at the same time send a visible signal of solidarity and partnership — particularly with regard to cooperation with Ukrainian universities. A central priority was close collaboration within our European University Alliance CIVIS. Of particular note is that in this project we were able to realize more mobilities within the framework of Blended Intensive Programs than ever before — making a clear contribution to the profile development and future strength of the Alliance. In addition, through the international component, we successfully expanded exchanges with established partners, particularly in the United Kingdom and in Africa, thereby extending the reach of our mobility activities beyond Europe. The focus, however, was not merely on quantitatively increasing mobilities, but on qualitatively deepening them: by broadening cooperation within Europe, intensifying exchange with long-standing international partners, and strengthening networks such as the research consortium The Guild. The goal of the project was not only to enable international experiences for students, faculty, and staff, but also to enhance the quality of education, intensify European cooperation, and prepare our students as effectively as possible for the global labor market. Through the Erasmus+ program, we were able to showcase internationalization in all its facets—as a driver of academic excellence, a bridge between cultures, and a contribution to the European idea.
