The aim for the 2023 project year was to build on the positive results of previous years, in particular the high outgoing numbers and high satisfaction rates, as well as to further develop activities in all areas of funding. In the 2023 project year, student mobility in all three study cycles, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral, as well as staff mobility were promoted. In order to enable as many students as possible in all study cycles to spend time abroad in the country of their choice, the Bergische University of Wuppertal is constantly expanding its already extensive partner network. The focus here is not only on the quantity of mobility measures, but in particular on their quality. It is important to the Bergische University to provide the best possible support to as many students and staff as possible during their stay abroad. Particular attention is paid, for example, to the possibility of recognising academic achievements completed abroad and, in the interests of equal opportunities, to supporting students with special needs. The International Office and the department coordinators actively support student mobility abroad. For incoming students, the International Center provides furnished student apartments in the local student union's residence halls and offers language classes at the university's language teaching institute.
