Objectives

The Erasmus+ programme at HfMDK Frankfurt aims to provide all university groups with the opportunity to gain international experience and to establish connections with students and colleagues from other European higher education institutions. The HfMDK is already a highly international university. Moreover, the music and dance sector is inherently international. Therefore, gaining experience abroad, building global networks, and engaging with other (artistic) cultures are of great importance for the professional development of our students, graduates, and teaching staff. The university as a whole also benefits from Erasmus+ exchanges, which play a significant role in the ongoing innovation and modernization of study and teaching. Participants acquire new perspectives in artistic and pedagogical areas that are directly or indirectly reflected in their academic and teaching activities. On an administrative level, Erasmus+ also provides opportunities to exchange ideas on structures and working methods that are particularly relevant for universities of music and the arts.
