Objectives

The SDI München (Sprachen- und Dolmetscher-Institut; Institute of Languages and Interpreting) is a non-profit educational institution with extensive international connections. The programs offered at the Professional College of Languages and International Communication (Fachakademie für Sprachen und Internationale Kommunikation) and the International University SDI München (Internationale Hochschule SDI München) focus primarily on languages and translation—including German, English, Spanish, French, Italian, Russian, Chinese, and Turkish—while also covering culture, media, business, and communication. Students are encouraged to apply their knowledge by participating in study abroad opportunities at one of our numerous European partner institutions within the Erasmus+ program. For university students, a semester abroad is compulsory, whereas for college students it is optional but strongly recommended. SDI München offers a vibrant international environment, where students from across the globe attend lectures, engage in campus activities, and connect socially, for example in our lunchtime bistro, while exploring the city of Munich. Building a strong Erasmus+ community remains a central institutional goal.
