The EU-ServicePoint (EU-SP), located at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz (JGU), is a joint institution for five Rhineland-Palatinate universities: Rhineland-Palatinate Technical University (RPTU), University of Koblenz, Mainz University of Applied Sciences (HS Mainz), Mainz Catholic University of Applied Sciences (KH Mainz) and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. The consortium specializes exclusively in traineeships within the framework of Erasmus+. The teaching of internationally relevant, career-related key competencies and European values is essential, which all partners see as a significant component of their degree programs. These competencies and values increase the international employability of their graduates and help to overcome the major challenges facing Europe. This is also reflected in the various internationalization strategies of the universities participating in the consortium. As part of an inclusive approach, all students should have the same opportunity to gain practical experience abroad. To this end, all options for participants with fewer opportunities are published transparently in order to motivate these groups to spend time abroad. It is also the consortium's intention to create an awareness of sustainability among mobile students before they go abroad. A sustainability strategy is also currently being developed at JGU The advantage of the consortium solution is that resources can be used more economically and effectively than would be possible for the individual universities. This guarantees a higher overall quality of service and students can be better reached and advised.
