With the project, trainees experience in their own experience the importance of an open and friendly Europe, in which they can work and live without any problems. In today's world, democracy is no longer a matter of course. The stay of trainees abroad for several weeks promotes understanding of other cultures. They reflect on processes in society in a new way and contribute to shaping society with an additional degree of self-confidence
The project represents the continuation of long-standing friendly relations between the Eduard-Maurer-Oberstufenzentrum Hennigsdorf and the Tech College Aalborg in Denmark and the Friesland College Leeuwarden in the Netherlands. The Oberstufenzentrum particularly promotes the exchange of pupils, trainees and teachers from different countries. The project is part of a large number of European and bilateral relations and projects.
