The central aim of the project is to promote language and social skills as well as the self-confidence of the participants. Another aim is to strengthen and develop intercultural skills, which is to be achieved by staying with host families and completing a work placement in a foreign country. Experiencing the work placement and the associated points of contact with specialist skills can also be mentioned as an objective.
The internationalisation strategy is an integral part of our understanding of school quality, as preparing our pupils for an increasingly globalised working world is essential. Pupils are given the opportunity to gain experience that goes far beyond the boundaries of the school building and curriculum content. Students from rural areas in particular have unique opportunities to gain intercultural experience and improve their English language skills.
