Objectives

We wanted to offer freelancers and their teachers in Europe practical and easily accessible materials for further training opportunities. The aim was to specifically address the most pressing challenges – such as a lack of financial knowledge, inadequate strategic planning and insufficient market knowledge – and to support them with tailor-made training modules. Another important goal was to establish sustainable, transnational cooperation between partner organisations in order to pool experience, develop innovative learning opportunities and create long-term structures.

Background

We have identified insufficient support for freelancers in Europe. Many of them face similar challenges: on the one hand, there is a lack of financial and strategic skills, and on the other hand, access to suitable training opportunities is limited. Freelancers with a migrant background are particularly affected, as they often have little experience with the European economic and tax system. Digital transformation and economic uncertainties further exacerbate these problems. With this project, we aim to specifically close these skills gaps, develop practice-oriented training modules and create new learning opportunities. At the same time, we are using transnational cooperation to pool experience from three countries and offer sustainable solutions for the professional development of freelancers in Europe.
