Objectives

In a ZEITBANKplus (ZBplus), people help each other. So far, most of the members are older people. The project aims to further develop ZBplus and open it up to EVERYONE: young families, young people, people with a migrant background and people with disabilities. Further goals include cooperation with local institutions such as senior citizens' facilities, daycare centres and community centres, the dissemination of ZBplus and the strengthening of European cooperation between the project partners.

Background

The application for this project is based on the conviction that the further development and dissemination of ZEITBANKplus (ZBplus) will improve the quality of life of its members, promote inclusion and participation, and strengthen civic engagement and social cohesion. The project addressed key needs: Reorientation of ZBplus: The associations, which had previously been strongly focused on older people, should be opened up to all generations, people of different origins and with disabilities. Finding new target groups: Families, single parents, young people, people with a migrant background, lonely people and people with disabilities should be specifically addressed and included. Strengthening the community: ZBplus should have a greater impact in the social sphere and cooperate with municipal, church and social institutions. Start-up support: Tutorials and easily accessible information to facilitate the establishment of new associations. Competence development: Partner organisations need support with concept development, hybrid formats and EU project management. Living European values: Inclusion, integration and participation should be experienced and strengthened at the local level.
