Objectives

The project aimed to strengthen the quality and innovative capacity of vocational education and training. Specifically, it sought to develop and validate practice-oriented and transferable modules that systematically combine modern learning methods, entrepreneurial skills, work-based learning, and ECVET principles. Simultaneously, the project aimed to enhance digital readiness in the vocational education and training sector through Web 2.x tools and a mobile application. Furthermore, the project aimed to provide open, multilingual, and accessible resources to enable broad use and sustainable dissemination. Overall, the goal was to create a coherent set of tools that would contribute to the long-term modernization and quality assurance of vocational education and training.

Background

We applied for GPS@VET because there was a clear need in our partner countries for innovative, practical, and digitally supported learning approaches in vocational education and training. Many VET providers were looking for more learner-centered methods to promote motivation, employability, and entrepreneurial skills. At the same time, there was a need for clearly structured guidelines for work-based learning and for the accessible implementation of ECVET principles for competency transparency. Furthermore, low-threshold digital tools and mobile access to learning resources were lacking. The project systematically addressed these needs and developed transferable, open, and digitally accessible tools for modernizing vocational education and training.
