Our main objective in implementing this Erasmus+ project was to equip students with a deeper understanding of the environmental challenges posed by climate change and pollution. We aimed to educate them about the negative effects on the atmosphere, land, and oceans, and how these issues threaten ecosystems and human health. We sought to foster critical thinking on how everyday behaviors contribute to pollution and climate change. Through international cooperation with schools from Germany, Italy, and Turkey, we wanted students to explore innovative, sustainable solutions to these global problems. The project was designed to promote cross-cultural learning, enabling students to exchange ideas, experience new approaches, and understand how environmental challenges are addressed in different countries. Our long-term goal was to cultivate a generation of environmentally conscious students who are empowered to take concrete action. By the end of the project, we hoped they would feel responsible for advocating sustainable practices and promoting positive changes within their communities.
We applied for this Erasmus+ project to address the urgent global issues of climate change and environmental pollution, particularly focusing on pollution in the air, on land, and in the oceans. In our school, we identified a need to raise awareness among students about these critical topics and their impact on our future. Many students lacked practical knowledge and understanding of how their actions contribute to pollution and what they can do to make a difference. By working with partners in Italy, and Turkey, we wanted to provide students with a broader, international perspective on environmental challenges and solutions. The project allowed them to engage directly in activities that addressed these issues, such as beach clean-ups and workshops on sustainable practices. Through these experiences, our goal was to sensitize students to environmental problems, empower them to take responsibility, and inspire them to become proactive in protecting the environment.
