Youth Power Germany e.V entered its second year of the Erasmus+ accreditation with a strengthened commitment to empowering young people to overcome challenges and realise their full potential. Building on our first-year experiences, we further integrated the Erasmus+ programme as a strategic tool in our work on inclusion and the professional development of our youth workers and young people. Throughout 2023 and 2024, we successfully continued our local youth work activities while significantly expanding our involvement in international learning opportunities. The Accreditation project has enabled us to provide meaningful experiences to youth and youth workers, many of whom had never travelled abroad or had access to such diverse and enriching environments. By taking part in international mobility activities, youth workers and young people not only explored topics that mattered to them but also built their confidence, developed new skills, and broadened their horizons. The second year of the Accreditation project confirmed the importance of youth worker mobility as a form of professional development. Our youth workers, who are deeply committed to their communities but often stretched by daily responsibilities, returned from training courses with renewed energy, creativity, and ideas they have already started applying in local activities. These exchanges with other European organisations continued to raise our capacity, exposing us to new methodologies, tools, and best practices. Our ongoing KA1 accreditation allowed us to plan and implement mobilities systematically and consistently. The core objectives of our Erasmus+ strategy remained relevant and were reaffirmed through our activities in 2023: 1.) Empowering youth for lifelong learning and active participation through local and international non-formal education; 2.) Promoting physical and mental wellbeing and healthy habits among youth; 3.) Engaging young people as active citizens by enabling them to explore relevant social topics; 4.) Combating discrimination and hate speech while advocating for human rights and LGBTIQ+ equality; 5.) Fostering tolerance, intercultural dialogue, and diversity; 6.) Encouraging volunteering as a learning and change-making tool; 7.) Contributing to innovation in non-formal education and youth work; 8.) Raising awareness of European citizenship and democracy; 9.) Improving employability and entrepreneurial skills among young people; 10.) Increasing digital and media literacy through diverse learning formats. As a result, the Accreditation project in 2023 was marked by both qualitative and quantitative growth. We strengthened our existing partnerships, launched collaborations with new organisations, and saw a tangible rise in youth engagement in both local and international activities.
