.We pursued three core objectives: The development and promotion of openness, diversity, and tolerance, as well as interest in other countries and cultures. Participation, involvement, and inclusion of young people who are often excluded, encouraging them to take on responsibility and fostering an awareness of democracy. Development of methodological skills and cross-border exchange for prospective and active youth work professionals. With these goals, we address several target groups. First and foremost, young people (ages 13–18) with fewer opportunities, who often lack intercultural experience and are frequently denied access. In order to reach this target group, we work closely with local youth centers and their professionals. We also cooperate with municipalities in rural areas. All encounters take place with our international partners, where we also aim to focus on disadvantaged youth. We use this experience in our knowledge transfer activities for professional development measures, such as “Design your Youth Exchange.” Overall, we aimed to reach 250 participants, including 150 young people with fewer opportunities. The encounters were intended to last on average 5–6 days and were aligned with the EU Youth Goals, the promotion of democratic life, and in some cases also included virtual components (especially for methodological training).
