Our overarching objective was to empower young people across Europe in their personal, societal, and political development. Through our initiatives, we aimed to raise awareness of key societal challenges and enable young people to become active contributors to shaping Europe’s future. At the heart of our work was the creation of democratic learning and participation spaces that fostered exchange, networking, and collective action. Our educational approach was guided by three core thematic pillars: contemporary history and human rights, inclusion, and socio-ecological transformation, aligned with the priorities of Erasmus+ and the EU Youth Strategy 2019–2027. European Perspectives We addressed pressing societal issues such as climate change, digitalisation, human rights, mental health, inclusion, diversity, and democracy—topics that shape both European policy and the lived realities of young people across the continent. Our goal was to foster a European perspective and deepen the understanding of these developments. Our work combined knowledge-sharing with the promotion of European identity, shared values, and tangible opportunities for civic participation at the European level. Networks and Knowledge Transfer Our educational formats and strategic partnerships contributed to the personal, social, and professional development of young people, youth workers, and international stakeholders. Central to our efforts were the development of key competencies, the acquisition of practical experience, and the cultivation of sustainable networks. Through professional events, publications, and digital tools, we disseminated our methodologies and insights throughout Europe, thereby contributing to knowledge transfer and capacity building. Social Cohesion and Participatory Spaces Cross-border collaboration and participatory educational offers enabled meaningful societal engagement and reinforced a sense of European connectedness. Through shared learning processes, dialogue-based formats, and inclusive participation structures, we created spaces where young people experienced civic engagement and learned that their voices matter. In doing so, we promoted mutual understanding, solidarity, and social cohesion across Europe. Inclusion and Equal Opportunities We adopted an inclusive approach that actively reduced barriers for young people with fewer opportunities, such as those from rural areas, with disabilities, or with migration backgrounds. Our focus was on fostering empathy, participation, and a sense of agency. Particular attention was given to youth at higher risk of becoming NEET. The Youthpass played a key role in making individual learning processes visible and recognised. Participation and Socio-Ecological Responsibility In collaboration with peers from across Europe, young people co-developed their own initiatives for action. Our educational settings provided tangible spaces where democracy, solidarity, and sustainability were made real and experiential. Dialogue and critical reflection on social and ecological challenges heightened awareness of global responsibility. As a network, we continuously reflected on our own contribution, locally and at the European level, to the socio-ecological transformation, including a deliberate move towards greener and more sustainable implementation of our activities. Active Citizenship and Civic Engagement Our projects promoted multiperspective thinking, critical reflection on human rights and democratic processes, and active participation in societal transformation. By enabling young people to explore and shape spaces for engagement, we fostered their active involvement in democratic life. Empowerment, political participation, and solidarity were central elements of our educational mission. As a result, we strengthened not only the civic engagement of young people but also their visibility and impact within a diverse and democratic European society. Mental Health and Emotional Resilience In response to multiple crises and growing psychosocial pressures, we created safer, stabilising learning environments that offered orientation, emotional relief, and personal empowerment. We integrated trauma-sensetive educational practices that supported a mindful, resource-based approach to working with participants under strain. These methods helped us address individual needs, foster self-efficacy, and build emotional resilience. Mental health was not treated as an isolated concern, but as a structural prerequisite for learning, participation, and engagement. Creativity and Innovation Creative methodologies were integral to our educational practice, providing emotional access points and encouraging new perspectives. Our learning environments fostered experimentation, co-creation, and innovation through artistic formats, digital tools, and non-formal education. In doing so, we supported young people and professionals in unlocking their creative potential.
