Objectives

The primary goal of this project was to empower youth and enhance the quality of youth work across Europe, focusing on building capacities, fostering cooperation, and promoting inclusivity through 10 events. Below are the key objectives: 1. Enable and Empower Youth - The project aimed to provide young people with the tools to reflect on their connection to European values and democratic structures. This was achieved primarily through youth exchanges, which served as open, inclusive, and multicultural platforms for discussion. By participating in these peer-led activities, young people from different backgrounds were encouraged to engage with civic issues, reflect on their roles within society, and develop skills such as communication, teamwork, and intercultural understanding. These exchanges fostered active citizenship and empowered youth to voice their opinion on European issues. 2. Enhance the Quality of Youth Work Across Europe - A key objective was to improve the quality of youth work across Europe by building the capacities of youth workers. We focused on providing training that equips youth workers with the necessary skills to deliver active citizenship education effectively. These trainings were designed to enhance the youth workers’ abilities to engage young people in meaningful civic participation, create strategies for active inclusion of underrepresented groups and empower young youth workers to set up new projects. By supporting the development of youth workers, particularly those running the youth-led European Youth Parliament (EYP) organizations across Europe, we aimed to create a more robust, inclusive, and impactful network of youth workers supporting each other. The project fostered a culture of continuous learning and skill development, ensuring that youth workers were well-prepared to facilitate high-quality educational experiences. 3. Promote Structural Cooperation - The project aimed to foster cooperation and best-practice sharing among youth-led organizations across Europe. Through workshops, knowledge exchanges, and collaborative sessions, youth workers and leaders from different regions were able to learn from one another, share successful strategies, and address common challenges. By encouraging this level of cross-regional cooperation, the project facilitated the development of new methodologies for promoting youth democratic participation. This collaboration helped strengthen connections between youth organizations across Europe, allowing for the dissemination of innovative approaches to civic engagement. 4. Multiply the Impact of Youth Worker Empowerment - The project placed a strong emphasis on multiplying the effect of youth worker empowerment. By providing youth workers with the tools to design better, more inclusive participation activities, we aimed to foster a democratic culture that could be replicated across Europe. The focus was on multiplication and dissemination, ensuring that the knowledge and skills gained by youth workers would extend beyond the immediate participants. Trained youth workers were encouraged to apply these skills within their own organizations, leading to a wider reach and greater impact on young people across the continent. This ripple effect helped create a more sustainable model for youth participation, as trained facilitators passed on their knowledge to new groups of young people. 5. Include Under-represented, Vulnerable, and Socio-economically Disadvantaged Youth - Inclusion was an important objective of the project. We aimed to actively engage under-represented, vulnerable, and socio-economically disadvantaged young people in participatory democracy. This was done by working with regionally diverse organizations to ensure our programs reached a broad range of participants. We also equipped youth workers with tools to ensure their activities were inclusive and accessible. By focusing on these objectives, the project created a sustainable impact on both the youth participants and the youth organizations involved. It strengthened youth democratic participation across Europe and fostered a more inclusive, empowered, and engaged generation of young leaders. Through this project, we aimed to ensure that young people from all backgrounds had the opportunity to shape their own futures and contribute to the democratic processes that affect their lives.
