Objectives

One of the biggest challenges facing young people in Europe was unemployment, which worsened due to the economic crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The situation was further exacerbated by the economic and energy crises resulting from Russia's aggression against Ukraine, leading to increased inflation and job losses. This made it even more difficult for young people to find employment or advance in their careers. The long-term consequences of unemployment or underemployment could be devastating, particularly for young individuals. When young people couldn't find meaningful work, it often led to stress, depression, and anxiety, stifling their potential for future success. Even those with innovative ideas for sustainable and profitable businesses might have been discouraged from pursuing them due to the challenging economic climate. Despite these obstacles, there were still businesses thriving, especially those that were innovative, adaptable, and met the needs of a changing world. To succeed in the contemporary job market, young people needed access to skills, knowledge, and support. Unfortunately, they faced numerous obstacles, including limited access to education or job training and socio-economic factors like poverty or limited opportunities in their communities. This underscored the importance of programs and initiatives focused on empowering young people. By providing access to education, training, and support, such programs could help young individuals develop the skills needed to succeed in the job market. Additionally, by encouraging them to pursue careers in eco-friendly and sustainable industries, new opportunities for growth and job creation could be fostered, while also contributing to environmental protection. Through our project, our goal was to equip young people with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed in the job market as employees or entrepreneurs, with a focus on eco-friendly and sustainable industries. By engaging in creative and experiential learning activities, and learning from accomplished entrepreneurs, we aimed to: - Raise awareness of the opportunities available for personal and career development in eco-friendly and sustainable industries. - Motivate and inspire young people to invest in their education and leadership skills. - Provide the necessary competencies and training for success in the job market. - Guide young people through the job application process, from start to finish. - Foster a sense of innovation and adaptability through hands-on experience and real-world problem-solving. - Introduce young people to the opportunities and steps involved in starting and running their own eco-friendly and sustainable business.
