Objectives

The 'Unfake your News' project stemmed from the firm conviction that issues such as fake news and the web world had great relevance at that time. The web was a vast world that one had to know how to read; one had to understand which information was accurate and which was not; consciously using the web brought tremendous advantage in our daily activities because we aimed to make participants more than just users but able to analyse the information that was constantly being disseminated on the web. Awareness and knowledge of this phenomenon brought excellent enrichment to its citizens, and a society with a good level of discernment of the wonders involved was a society that was open to the new challenges that tomorrow brought, so being responsible and having a good understanding of the dynamics of how to use the web from its broadest facets consciously offered the opportunity to broaden our range of action. The programme aimed to involve participants in a path of maturation that could lead to a moral-sociological turnaround to trigger a change that would propel an inner transformation to be brought about and, above all, in the territory to which they belonged. The theme was developed from the point of view brought by each member, who was able to share their thoughts and contextualise them in an atmosphere of mutual dialogue and open confrontation. The partnership was created and investigated by the society around us with constant steps to understand what still did not work in the vast world of the web. The team started with the partners stemmed from previous cooperation in projects with a similar theme, consolidating a group with shared visions and an ad hoc work plan. In writing this project, we immersed ourselves in the society around us, identifying with their thinking to understand what did not fit, and what was the spring that triggered strong reactions. Our programme met needs because there was no more substantial barrier to oppose than free information. Its objectives were: Breaking down the stereotype beyond the social label (Breaking Stereotypes) Creation of an information culture that went against fake news or false myths Broadening entrepreneurial skills Aptitude for critical and participative thinking (being able not only to see but also to contextualise and interpret the reality that surrounded us) Aptitude for tolerance and understanding of new cultures (open-minded person) Propensity for active citizenship and active participation in local communities Propensity for group work and teamwork as a moment of confrontation and dialogue Sharing of training activities, ice-breaking, self-knowledge, good practices, targeted visits and information Promotion of non-formal learning and opportunities to create networks and contacts through new youth projects, Erasmus+ exchange, training and EVS. Resource management (how to maximise output from available data) Thus examined, the aims of our project were in correspondence with those of the Erasmus+ programme, as far as the promotion of European values taking the EU Treaty as a point of view and in the plan for European cooperation in education and training.
