Objectives

In 2015, the United Nations launched 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), an urgent call to action for a better economic, social and environmental future. The European Union and its member states have committed to Goal 12.3, which is to cut food waste in half by 2030. Through this youth exchange, 36 young people from 5 countries have shared experiences in an environment conducive to intercultural dialogue, in which they have developed a sense of responsibility for responsible consumption, thus preventing and reducing food waste by changing consumption habits and eating habits. Thus, with the "COOK MORE, WASTE LESS" project, we aimed to achieve the following objectives: 1. To raise awareness of food waste and its impact on the environment. 2. To make participants aware of the fact that actions can be taken on a daily basis to reduce food waste. 3. To promote eating habits among youth that generate as little waste as possible. 4. To give participants the opportunity to share their experiences in a cross-cultural environment. 5. To make the Erasmus+ program known and the opportunities it offers to young people.
