Objectives

The projects has been initiated to respond to the needs of a young generation, that is confronted by climate change, to do meaningful regenerative work in the world. Ecologically participants learned about natural systems and the effects of climate change. Our objective has been that participants develop practical skills in the area of sustainable and regenerative practices. This happened through Permaculture inputs and skill-sharing. Our goal has been that participants become more aware of their vocational journey, the frequent open spaces in the program invited participants to offer sessions, share skills and practise leadership and facilitation. Another objective of the project has been to form an international community and lively supportive transnational network, of young adults interested in regenerative work in the world. We achieved this aim through dynamic and interactive sessions, community building spaces of inclusion and authentic sharing. Additionally, with the use of social media, the participants have formed a lasting and resourceful collective together. The project aims to enhance the accessibility of Erasmus+ youth mobility to associations that can bring relevant competences and experience into non-formal youth mobility, while developing a prototype event that can be adapted and implemented elsewhere. The Living Earth Seedcamp is a course aimed at raising and deepening our awareness of natural systems and our place in them. It’s aim has been to achieve an empowerment of a young generation to live fulfilling lives, actively responding to real needs in themselves and their social and natural environments. It aimed at promoting embodied knowledge of sustainable practices, a better defined sense of participants’ authentic vocation and a supportive network of like-minded peers. The project will enable participants to develop innovative practices and projects, and form the basis to strengthen a regenerative movements Europe-wide. The project took place in the Ecoregion of Deggenhausertal in the South of Germany, where it promoted rural living and regionally adapted entrepreneurial possibilities within sustainability and climate solutions. Our goal has been that participants become confident about themselves as positive actors in their local ecosystems and regional as well as international social surroundings.
